So here goes.

Can’t not choose any but this one. Set in my own city which is a city by the sea; Karachi.
Hasan is 11 years old and has an idyllic life which is shattered when his uncle, a dissenting politician, is arrested and charged with treason. Hasan resolves to save his uncle, he questions the Oldest Man and hatches plots he can never carry out.
I had to think a lot for this and I am going to settle for this story of Kaleb and Sahara. One of the most intense I have read till date.
A woman who is strong as steel. A woman who knows that she may have to take extreme measures against her man but doesn’t shy from the eventuality. A man who everyone fears not because he is universal respected but because he is downright dangerous. Though he mellows down for his woman but the danger always present. I can read this one again and again and again.
There are some that I can mention here but this is a recent one for me I am sharing here. Not only is there a journey, it is packed with emotion.
The narrative was engaging in a way that it kept on edge as I anticipated what will happen next while it left me with little historical tidbits here and there which makes me want to visit Jerusalem myself (this is something that is almost impossible with a Pakistani passport).
I wish I can mention two books here because I recently read a couple of books that left me speechless but I am choosing Home Before Dark.
It was a creepy ride, this story, that I loved every second of despite getting goosebumps every now and then. A little advice, try not to read it at night with the lights out.
I have finished reading The Inheritance Games recently and it was one unputdownable book I read in one day!
I loved it more than I expected to when I signed up for the Blog Tour. Keep an eye out for my review tomorrow. Also, the book releases tomorrow.
As soon as I read A Book With A Sweet Romance, I knew I’d be putting The Weather Girl here. I read this book back in 2014. In it we have Summer Raines a.k.a The Weather Girl is one amazing and wonderful woman. She has dreams and passion to go ahead and fulfill them and Travis Lockwood who is in a vacuum where though he does know what he cannot do and what he does not want to do but has no idea what he wants to do with his life.
I read this book earlier in the year and The Particular Charm of Miss Jane Austen was a breath of fresh air because during those days I had the misfortune of reading one bad book after another (which were for blog tours). This, too, was for a blog tour but I loved it. My favourite author becoming one of the main characters in a story not set in her own time, This was a bundle of laughs and I am desperate to read the sequel but it is not available anywhere I can buy from!
There are all kinds of obstacles out there but I think this one takes the cake because avoiding Hitler’s men in Nazi Germany counts for a miracle in my opinion. That is what Otto did in Otto Eckhart’s Ordeal where not only he saved himself, but his family and lady love too from the clutches of the Nazis.
I thought and I thought but there was no book that talked about food per se so for this tag, I am using the book that had many a flavours of Ice cream and the heroine was an ice cream seller. A happily ever after that would not have been possible if it was not for ice cream. Not like sharing a cone or scoop of one. Rather making a batch of one; coming up with special ingredient to make it all magical. Specially, Cucumber!
When Breath Becomes Air has been described as melancholic read but I call it inspirational as it shows how life progresses and how plans are re-planned as the world does not revolve around one individual. It talked about how finding meaning to one’s life is an ongoing process rather than something done just once. It is an ongoing process because the changes as a person changes with the experiences he and she has had.
And that’s it for this tag! What do you guys think of my picks? Let me know in the comments below. Also, I’m not going to tag anyone in particular because it isn’t summer anymore but feel free to do this tag if you want.
Ciao
