Hey everyone!
Today, I will be doing the My Life In Books tag. Danni of For Books Sake tagged me and it looks like fun.
So here goes!
Find a book for each of your initials
This one is easy as I am doing Twelve Months and A Twelve Letter Name book challenge this year where every month I read a book with an alphabet from my name. AS we are still in May, the ones I have read this year are till T. The ones I mention after T are t he ones I have read previously because I am not going to bind myself by stating names that I may not be able to read this year. So here goes;
H – Home Fire by Kamila Shamsie
I – I am Pilgrim by Terry Hayes
N – Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen
A – A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson (Review here)
T – The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova (Review here)
A – Archangel’s War by Nalini Singh
B – Because of Miss Bridgerton by Julia Quinn (Review here)
A – Amal Unbound by Aisha Saeed (Review here)
S – Stay Mad, Sweetheart by Heleen Kist (Review here)
S – Shashi Kapoor: The Householder, The Star by Aseem Chhabra (Review here)
U – Unlaced by Kristina Cook (Review here)
M – Midnight Marriage by Lucinda Brant (Review here)
Count your age along with your bookshelf. What book is it?
The Hit by David Baldacci
(I have a paperback with this cover)
Pick a book set in your city/country
I am going to name two books here. One set in my city and one set in another city of my country. Highly recommended!
Set in Karachi, Pakistan
Set in Lahore, Pakistan
Pick a book that represents a destination you’d love to travel to.
Now, this one is difficult as there is not just one place that I want to visit. I am narrowing it down here a lot and after that I have these two to mention.
Chicago, USA
Venice, Italy
Pick a book that has your favourite colour on it.
This one. It has Purple and it has Black!
Which book do you have the fondest memories of?
Harry Potter series. I enjoy it reading always. It’s a series I have grown up with!
Which book did you have the most difficulty reading?
Recently? When Polly Met Ollie by Zoe May
It was difficult because there was no character development for the main characters and it felt as if the narrator was rambling. To top that, the relationship between the main characters in this Romance felt utterly forced. My full review can be read here.
Which book in your TBR pile will give you the biggest accomplishment when you finish it?
For this I have two options. I’ll give my reasons for them both.
This one for the length of it. It is huge and it feels like a commitment I am not ready to make yet despite the fact that I really want to read it.
And, this one for the content. It is supposed to be depressing and again I don’t want to be plunged into that kind of emotion. Especially with situation the world over.
