This book follows the story of James Hamilton – a man disturbed from his dark past and seeking redemption – as he takes a vacation in an attempt to distract himself from his troubled life. But his vacation takes an unexpected twist as he finds himself taking a trip with a mismatched group of people which lands them on a mysterious island. As they find out the story behind the island, they discover that the only way to get off this island is to confess to their gravest sin. As each individual contemplates their own life and slowly understands that realization and confession to their sins is not as easy as they thought.

Ever heard of the seven deadly sins? This is what this novelette is about. Not exactly in the order they are in are they mentioned in this story but they are all there. One more thing that we learn is that all those who commit sins do not feel remorse; some actually feel pride in it – which happens to be part of those seven.
This is a story about how redemption works. A very good effort I must say.
